Trello and Notion are also types of applications that are known for performing specific tasks in their respective fields.

Trello and Notion are two great services that helps you get things done. But the question is which one is better? The answer is completely dependent on how you plan to use each app. Trello is awesome at project management while Notion is a great all-around tool that allows you to accomplish a variety of things not just project management. If you are looking solely for a project management tool, Trello is probably the better bet. However, if you are looking for a tool that can do a variety of things well Beyond just project management, Notion is likely to fit the bill.

Company Notion Labs Inc. was founded in the year 2013 but it was not launched until 2016. It’s office is situated in San Francisco.
Now, let’s take a look at the different facts and based on them let’s choose our winner…
1. EASY TO USE
When you don’t have to schedule tasks, you’ll be more comfortable using a planner.
Trello is straightforward to use. Simple Kanban-style boards enable you to quickly create tasks and projects on a card. You can then drag them along through different stages of development as the project progresses. This tool makes tracking multiple projects much simpler.
On the other hand,
You can use Notion in a variety of ways too, but setting up each board takes more planning. At first glance, it may look much easier to use than Trello, but moving forward, it demands more planning time.

For people on a tight budget, the affordability of the tool comes first.So, Let’s compare the prices of both tools.
Trello offers a free version, so you can take full advantage of it without subscribing to their paid plan. To use more power-ups and make collaboration easier, you will have to pay $10 per month for the business class package
Like Trello, Notion also has a free plan, but you can add a limited number of guests. Therefore, if you plan on using it by yourself, its Personal Pro plan at $4 per month will be a good choice. However, if you need to collaborate with your team more efficiently, you will have to pay $8 per month for their Team Plan.
So, although both tools are pretty affordable, Notion is relatively cheaper than Trello.

In Trello, you can customize the cards using a special Power-up. However, it allows limited customization. You can also take advantage of templates to apply a preset structure to your boards.
On the other hand, you have more options to play within Notion. You can use different blocks, add databases, import media files, embed data from other sources, and design the page with advanced backgrounds and colors
Therefore, Notion is a much more robust and customizable tool than Trello. Despite this, learning how to properly customize Notion may take some time. Again, the winner is Notion.

These tools won’t replace all other apps you use each day. So, whether you can integrate other apps into these tools is also a decisive factor.
If you go into the Power-ups section of Trello, you will see a massive list of apps and integrations you can use. Trello integrates Social media platforms, Google Products, CRM, and a number of other marketing tools.
In contrast, Notion allows integrations with only a few applications. The list is growing but hasn’t yet reached the level of Trello. So, Trello wins this one.

In Trello , You can use all the same features on the mobile app that you use on the web.

In Trello, the maximum size of files that can be uploaded which is free is 10 MB. If it is for Personal, Business Class and Enterprise then it charges price and file uploading size is 250 MB. While in Notion file attachment for free use is 5 MB whereas for all others (Personal, Teams and Enterprise) is unlimited with some pricing.
Winner here will be notion as there is no limit of size after you spend few bucks.

Trello
The strength of Trello is its simplicity. It ensures smooth editing through a minimalist user interface.
You can edit task lists inline, using the simplest possible drag-and-drop mechanism.
Not a note-taker, not a to-do list manager, Trello is mainly a Kanban project management service. And I think that this clarity of mission and focus is what makes users happy with the app.

The strength of Notion lies in its versatility. Notion was designed to perform a variety of functions in a productivity workflow, and that’s what makes it powerful.
If you are looking for one do-it-all tool in your workflow, Notion is the right pick for you.
Please note that you can work offline with Notion.and it is the biggest advantage so in my opinion both are good in their own ways .

10. WEAKNESS OF NOTION AND TRELLO
Notion is a good project management tool, but it lacks some task management features. Reminders and customizable project statuses, assigned comments, and other functionalities are expected to be in a project management tool.
Therefore, it’s not the best collaboration solution for larger companies.
While in trello the main downside is that it’s not a fully-featured project management tool.
For example, teams who need time-tracking or expenses-tracking will find Trello limited and an inconvenient choice for their activity.
Nevertheless, I think that the main reason why most people like using Trello is that it’s a purely Kanban project management service, nothing more, nothing less.

Both Notion and Trello are American companies. Both the companies are best in their own respective areas. Notion was the number 1 product in the Product Hunt and Trello was the most creative app ever made. Both are available in different third party apps such as Slack, Hootsuite, Google Docs, Google Drive, MS Office 365, Zapier etc. In Trello, there is a two-factor authentication available and there are no restrictions on attachments. While in Notion, Bulk Exports and Admin Tools are available for teams and enterprises. In Notion, online content can be embedded using Embed. yl. Trello is a very beautiful app, its background can be customised and is very fluid and responsive.
